Padel like many other sports continues to evolve and there are more and more indoor Padel fields or indoor Padel clubs that we can find at our disposal.
Previously
You had to cancel a game because of bad weather, rain or wait for the weather forecast to find out which summer was the best day to play. The “indoor” trend is more and more demanded by players because they can play whenever they want without depending on the weather.
However, does the indoor paddle have only advantages? Let’s make a small analysis:
The advantages of indoor paddleball clubs
Playing covertly keeps us out of trouble when we play. Without having to pay attention to the rain, the wind, the bounce of the glass and even the annoying sun we may find in the open air. The conditions will always be optimal for the good practice of the game.
The use of our equipment will not be subject to any extraordinary effort. We all know that playing with wet balls makes them much heavier and as a result the racket will suffer more when hitting with a possible risk of cracking. On the other hand, rain will make the balls unusable for other uses.
Most indoor paddle clubs have better maintained paddle courts than outdoor ones, as they do not suffer any weather aggression. A synthetic turf at its height and a well-placed, well-tensioned net will always be a plus for indoor paddle clubs.
The disadvantages of indoor paddleball
More expensive
On the contrary, we find ourselves with the disadvantage that an indoor paddle court is much more expensive than playing outdoors. There are many places, mainly in tennis clubs, where we can play outdoors unlike indoor courts.
The height under the ceiling
The globe: not all indoor centres have indoor tracks that are suitable enough to make a globe at great heights because many of these balls will hit the roof.
The arrival of summer
We can’t forget that it is already summer and everyone likes to play outdoors, so enjoying the good weather while sunbathing is not negligible. Undoubtedly in this respect the outdoor tracks gain points against the indoor ones.
To sum up, there are many advantages and disadvantages that we can find when we make the choice to play our padel math, and you, are you an indoor padel player?
